Hydrotreating, Hydrotreating Catalysts

Hydrotreating processes are mainly used in refineries. The hydrotreating catalyst removes impurities such as sulfur and nitrogen compounds, but can be tailored to treat preferentially one or the other. The reactions consume hydrogen. The catalyst properties and operating temperature and pressure of the fixed-bed reactor depend upon the severity needed.
